Submission information
1. Non-thematic issues
The journal sends out a call for papers twice a year, in June and December, for non-thematic issues. It accepts articles and proposals at any time. Authors may opt either to submit their articles in two stages (proposal followed by article) or to submit the article directly without prior submission of a proposal.
Articles and proposals should be sent by e-mail to : discours@revues.org
with the following indication: Discours – submission. A procedure for submission via the journal’s Internet site is currently in preparation.
Submission format
Formats accepted: . doc
Instructions to authors and a stylesheet can be downloaded from the journal Internet site.
Articles may be written in French, English or in bilingual form. They must comply with the journal's standards, as set out in the ‘instructions for authors’ section. Articles must include an abstract of 1500 characters (including spaces) in English and if French (if possible), together with 5 to 8 key words. Where appropriate, the authors should indicate the linguistic markers and/or languages studied which will be indexed separately. Articles should not usually exceed 60000 characters (punctuation and spaces included).
Whatever the language used, the formal quality of the article must be faultless. It is recommended that non-Francophone authors writing in French and non-Anglophone authors writing in English have their articles reread by native speakers before submission. The journal cannot be responsible for bringing an article up to the required standard of French or English.
Proposals consist of one to two pages, in French or English (including a title, key words, an overview of the issue considered, and a list of bibliographical references quoted in the text). On a separate page, the authors will indicate their full particulars (affiliation, postal and e-mail address) and the title of the proposal submitted. A tentative decision will be given, specifying the timetable of the next issues to be published. Definitive acceptance for publication will only be pronounced once the referees have made a decision based on the full version of the article.

The articles are assessed by at least two referees, who reach one of the following decisions: accept, reject or request minor or major modifications.

2. Thematic issues
The journal accepts proposals concerning the subject of thematic issues at any time. After acceptance of the project by a reviewing committee, the journal establishes a timetable and a publication date in conjunction with the coordinator. The entire realisation of the issue is the responsibility of the coordinator, who must widely disseminate a call for papers, consisting of a text setting out the issue raised, and the scope and scientific expectations of his or her project. The whole issue is finally submitted to the usual process of assessment by members of the scientific committee or external referees. The coordinator undertakes to propose texts in the format stipulated by the journal (see submission format for non-thematic issues).
