Call for Papers for Discours, Issue 16

Corpus-based approaches to discourse relations

Deadline: 19 janvier 2015

Editorial board: Lydia-Mai Ho-Dac & Frédéric Landragin

We invite submissions for the next issue of the e-journal Discours, to appear in June 2015.

It is open to contributions on all usual topics covered by the journal, with a special mention for corpus-based approaches to discourse relations, revolving around the question of how different aspects of discourse can be analysed in combination, both from the perspective of data exploration and data interpretation. We thus welcome with particular interest contributions addressing the following issues:

  • cohesion and coherence, information structure and information packaging

  • intra-lingual variation between registers and between written and spoken language, contrasts between several languages, differences between translations and originals

  • (semi-)automatic identification of discourse relations, methods of statistical evaluation (e.g. multivariate statistical analysis)

Full instructions can be found on the website (http://discours.revues.org/224)
